Assessing Your Insurance Coverage
When purchasing new insurance policies, and before renewing existing ones, take time to review your options. Be sure you have the right coverage with the best value and service. Some important tips to consider:
Review your provider.
Make sure your insurance provider has the right insurance for your needs at a price you can live with. RCU Insurance Services is happy to provide a complimentary insurance review.
Do your homework.
Before taking advantage of an offer that seems too good to be true, gather referrals from friends, family, and co-workers to identify a reputable insurance provider. Be sure to inquire about their service and claims procedures.
Ask about discounts.
Many insurance companies offer multiple-policy discounts of up to 20%, so you can save if all of your policies are with one provider. There may also be discounts for multiple vehicles, anti-theft devices, good driving records, and more.
Assess your coverage.
As your life changes, so should your insurance. Work with an insurance representative to ensure you have enough coverage to meet your needs, and also make changes as your life or your environment changes. Be sure to confirm that if a fire or other catastrophic event were to occur, that your current policy would allow you to rebuild. If you have recently purchased new jewelry, furniture or fine art, check to see if those items are covered under your current homeowner's policy.
